Ludogorets is expected to control the game.
Ludogorets is a team that dominates in transition – their attacks often start from their own third, as they strive to steadily move the ball up the pitch with short or medium-range passes, and by the time they reach the final third, their pace becomes serious. Many combinations on the flanks, featuring off-the-ball interchanges among players, often lead to confusion in the opponent. The expected goals (xG) in recent matches regularly exceed 2.0, confirming their ability to create good scoring opportunities. The question is whether they can convert them.
One thing is for sure – a tough match for Levski.
Levski’s defense is not performing convincingly. The Blues have a problem when the opponent dominates possession for an extended period, and Ludogorets will do just that on their home ground. Aside from the fact that their defense almost always concedes a goal, there are also numerous individual errors or poor positioning during set-piece situations. Levski fails to play a full match (90 minutes) at a high standard, though they do look impressive over certain periods (usually one half). However, there is no consistency. For this reason, it is quite possible that the Blues will be exposed.
A dynamic game is expected.
Considering the play of both sides, I expect Ludogorets to win – not only because of their form, but also due to their clearly expressed dominance on the pitch and style of play. I expect the match to start as an even contest and, as it progresses, Ludogorets’ advantage will become increasingly apparent. They know how to wear down their opponent, and ultimately, the advantage is on their side. For this reason, it is more likely that we will see more goals in the second half.
