💯 England did their best by winning the last match
Ranking first or second for England was one of the most discussed things in the groups of these Euros and it was widely argued that for the three lions it is better to be 2nd because of a possible weaker opponent than if they are first. As we have seen, however, if they were second, they would be in the heaviest lot and play with Spain, and now their flow is not so heavy, but they have to eliminate Germany first. Of course, being at Wembley again should also be an advantage. Against the Czech Republic we did not see anything much different from what England showed against Croatia, although the Czechs in practice did not give themselves so much effort, but probably the same goes for the three lions.
😐 The Germans were minutes from a spectacular exposure
Germany barely drew with Hungary in the last match, in which the team was expected to totally dominate and win with ease. Instead, the Hungarians impressed the whole world with their efficiency, their goals, their game, and their distribution in general, and by the 84th minute, they were practically in second place in the standings because they were leading 2-1 and that threw Germany out. Goretzka, however, scored, and then it was over. The problems of the Germans in defense, however, and overall lack of organization in many moments could be seen easily, and not only in this match.
This clash is steeped in history and rivalry, in which this time perhaps England will finally prevail
England vs. Germany is an eternal classic. These two teams have played 32 games with each other over the years and it all started in 1930. The first huge match, the final of the World Cup in 1966, was the only Cup for the Three Lions at the national level – the world title. Then there are more matches in WC and Euros as one of the most emblematic is at Euro 96, when Southgate missed a penalty in the semifinals against Germany and this qualified the Germans in the final. In general, the English have suffered more so far in their most important matches against Germany, often after penalties, so this is an ideal time to get some revenge. England, if nothing else, has shown stability in defense so far. The Germans are obviously not the scarecrow they have been with Löw over the years, so here, perhaps with faith in fate, we will bet on the English, but whatever happens in this match, it is certain that a huge and historic clash awaits us. Prediction – England to qualify at 1.80.
