Leicester City – Aston Villa, League Cup Prediction

A lot of interesting things happened to Leicester recently. The form of the team did not decline at all. They just lost to 2 better teams (Man City and Liverpool) and then went on to win their next games. We were very impressed by the fact that Rodgers very predictably went out to play with the big two and lost, but with this he showed his players and fans that Leicester is on the right track and knows where he wants his team to be. So now is the beginning. Rodgers gave some of the players a break against Wigan for the FA Cup, but it looks like the lineup is wide enough.

Aston Villa lost to Fulham 1-2 for the FA Cup and dropped out of the tournament. Villa will now concentrate fully on the League Cup and the Championship, where they are involved in the battle for survival. The game in defense of the team in the last games is really weak. Admittedly, they were fortunate to even make it to the semi-finals and this game against Leicester after defeating the young team of Liverpool in the quarter-finals due to the commitments of the 1st team to the Club World Cup Championship.

 Expert view : We expect a score game again. It is clear that Villa suffered in defense because they lacked the captain, Mings, who is already training with the team and is expected to play today, but overall the organization is lacking, especially in the away team. Leicester can easily make mistakes, and the Foxes themselves can score goals, especially in tournaments such as the League Cup, where concentration is not at its highest. Prediction – Over 2.5 goals at 1.60.
