Man City now have everything to lose
City have their destiny completely under control at the moment. Even if they draw with Arsenal now, if they win all their remaining games until the end of the season, they will take the title. All this against the backdrop of their brilliant play and form and their qualification to the semi-final in the UCL and the final in the FA Cup last week. Guardiola can’t complain about any serious injuries at the moment either, apart from Ake’s injury, so the Citizens are in the perfect position to even attack the treble.
Arsenal have failed badly in recent games and will now have to do the more difficult job
Arsenal in two consecutive games dropped a two-goal lead to walk away with 1 point in them, while in the last one they made a partial turnaround from 1-3 to 3-3 against the last in the standings, Southampton, but that didn’t really please the Gunners. They need wins and if they don’t win the title, this will be the period when they are most likely to have lost it. At the moment Arsenal are failing entirely for psychological reasons and this can be easily seen from the first two goals conceded against Southampton.
Not everything is lost for the Gunners
At the moment, Arsenal are only content with a win. I dare say that if they achieve it at the Etihad, they will take the title. It will be the team’s toughest test since the start of the campaign. Rob Holding’s poor defensive play doesn’t help much. I expect goals in this game and ultimately a win for City, but my bet will be very different. Arsenal need to attack and even counter attack often so I expect them to make a few corners and the line for this is great. This time my bet will be from the “Bet Builder” option, namely Arsenal – Over 2 corners + Arsenal – Over 0 corners in 1st half at 1.70.
