ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION FOR NEWCASTLE - CHELSEA
It was as if Steve Bruce knew exactly what Newcastle needed to be a decent team in the Championship. There were a lot of injuries around Boxing Day, which he himself said back then would be impossible to avoid with this schedule. In the previous match with Wolves, the Magpies were not yet with their best players, but they did draw, and until recently had only 1 loss as a home run before the defeats by Everton and Leicester during this period.
Chelsea have had no problems with Burnley at home in the last round of the league, but in recent seasons there have been issues against Newcastle, especially at St. James Park. We wrote earlier that the Blues have problems against teams that can pass the ball well and Newcastle have players in the midfield who can handle the task.
Expert view : The matches between Chelsea and Newcastle are one of the many classics in English football. With 1 point in the last 4 games, Newcastle may have been in the weakest form since the start of the campaign, but we have already written the reasons. We believe that once they have rested well, they will now perform at a completely different or rather familiar level from their home games this season and score. Chelsea are favorites in the match and will score, too. Prediction – BTTS at 1.80.
Newcastle have not scored in just 3 home games in the league
Newcastle have scored at least 2 goals in the last 5 and at least 1 in their last 6 home matches against Chelsea
