PSG will look to control possession.
In the first leg between the two teams, PSG’s strongest period came when Arsenal’s press was not functioning well. The reasons varied. Mostly, PSG managed to play out and overcome the press excellently thanks to their two central defenders and three central midfielders. This freed up a lot of space, and in the final third, one-on-one duels often occurred. There, PSG is extremely strong.
Arsenal will again attempt a high press.
In the instances during the first leg when Arsenal’s press worked, PSG had to clear the ball into the opponent’s half because Donnarumma’s distribution with his feet is not sufficiently strong. At that point, Arsenal’s advantage became quite significant. The Gunners missed two clear one-on-one chances with the goalkeeper, and Donnarumma produced incredible saves. If that happens again, even though the match is in Paris, Arsenal will still have their opportunities.
A tactical duel is expected.
We are in for a match with a lot of tactics and positional play. But that does not mean there won’t be goals. These are two sides capable of creating clear chances due to their styles. Therefore, we believe there will be at least one goal in the first half. After that, the match will open up at some point, and more goals will follow.
