Real will play patiently.
Under Xabi Alonso, the difference in the team’s playing style compared to Ancelotti is clear. The team plays with a much more patient approach. One thing remains just as strong – their efficiency and class. In all three matches so far, Madrid have shown exceptional attacking effectiveness. However, defensive errors suggest they haven’t fully adapted to Alonso’s philosophy yet.
Juventus will crowd the midfield.
Juventus like to dominate the midfield and rely on their counter-attacks. This didn’t work at all against Man City, where they were completely outplayed. The Italians made too many individual mistakes. It’s important to note that their best-form player, Yıldız, was rested for about 60 minutes, which clearly showed. In the matches before the City game, Juve displayed solid performance with two convincing wins, although against less decorated opponents.
We are in for an interesting match.
Both teams make defensive mistakes but have quality players upfront ready to punish any errors. Real has a new manager and is still adjusting their play with many experiments, while Juve is capable of scoring through their counter-attacks.
