Arsenal aiming for another game without a loss since the start of the season
Arsenal were turned over by Lens in the Champions League during the week and Saka got injured, so he remains a doubt for this game, but this defeat for the Gunners is definitely not fatal. More importantly, they are only 1 point behind Man City at the moment and can overtake them for the 1st time this season if they beat them. Arteta has basically only lost to City, Liverpool and Brighton since he has been in charge of Arsenal at home so far.
Guardiola never concedes 2 losses in a row in the league
Man City had a bad last week with their first 2 losses of the season, although one of them was in the Carabao Cup where Guardiola clearly didn’t have huge ambitions for this season. They did, however, earn themselves a relatively easy away win at Leipzig in Germany in the Champions League this week. Despite the league defeat to Wolves they remain 1st in the league. Rodri remains out with the red card he got few games ago.
A fundamental clash in the title battle this season
It seems to me that Man City will be an idea more intent on proving themselves in this game, although the opposite seems more logical at first glance. So far we’ve seen much more emphatic play from the Citizens in the 2 halves as they’ve managed to score in each of their away games in the league, as well as in the CL this week. Granted, that’s very likely to happen now and the odds are very appropriate. Prediction – Man City to score in the 2nd half at 1.61.
