Arsenal continue to widen the gap
Arsenal are currently going through their toughest test of the season as they have had consecutive games against some of the top teams at the moment such as Brighton, Newcastle and Tottenham but so far 7 out of 9 possible points have been won for the Gunners while City dropped some points a few times and the gap has been increased. Arsenal have shown no fluctuations in their play and in practice are doing almost perfectly with 15 of 18 league games won so far. Arteta has also been lucky with injuries because almost all the time there are no important absentees apart from Jesus recently.
Man United were very disappointed during the week
United were practically the team in the best form recently, because they had 7 wins in a row before a very bitter draw with Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, when they conceded a goal from a direct free kick at the end of the game. A strike that De Gea couldn’t have prevented, but United never stop scoring goals and Rashford is in the form of his life. United’s upturn has been huge since Ronaldo’s departure.
This might as well be a title match because United are not that far away
A while ago, this match was the biggest in England in the peak years of Wenger and Ferguson because usually these teams were fighting for the title. That hasn’t been the case for a long time now, but this season could be the start of the big rise for these two clubs, who are more often than not involved in the battle for the top 4 and haven’t thought about a title for a long time. Of course, Arsenal are in the best position right now, but against United they will find it very difficult. I don’t see how they can keep a clean sheet with United’s attack being so strong and diverse and in super form. Prediction – Both teams to score at 1.66.
