Overall, the Citizens didn’t dominate the game as much as expected, except in the beginning, but at the Bernabeu nobody expected them to dominate throughout. Guardiola was able to manage his squad well so as to get some rest, and he didn’t make a single substitution in the first leg. Ake should take part in the match.

Real Madrid look a serious underdog, but that makes Los Blancos have nothing to lose

Real Madrid was not very far from winning the first leg because they had many periods where they dominated against Man City and came close to a 2nd goal. However, after the 1-1 draw, you could say it was a missed opportunity for the team. Usually when they finish 1-1 in the first leg and then are away in the return leg, in almost all cases Real Madrid have been knocked out of the competition.

Man City will start the game very strongly
