ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION FOR SPURS - MIDDLESBROUGH
Tottenham showed great respect for Liverpool and could not play their game for long periods of the game last round. Spurs lost 0-1 with 2 great opportunities in the 2nd half and to some extent managed to squeeze the Reds at some points. Mourinho was not pleased with the result, but was pleased with the play. This is the first series without a win for at least 4 games for Tottenham since 2016. The lack of Harry Kane doesn’t help, but Tottenham is one idea more unpredictable and diverse.
Boro are in the best shape since the beginning of the season. Finally, they backed out of the battle for survival in the Championship to some extent. 10 points difference with Barnsley so far. This whole change came after Boro finally started to get good game results. Apparently Woodgate needed half a season to train his players well. Now Boro’s style is easy to recognize – crosses, long balls and long-range shots.
Expert view : The difference in class should be decisive here. We think it will be very difficult for the guests to take something out of the match. Mourinho is a winner and wants trophies. There is no need for anyone to be an expert to suggest that the only chance for a trophy for Spurs this season is the FA Cup. At home we think they will perform far better than the first game, and now they have the confidence of the good game they showed against Liverpool. Prediction 1st half – Tottenham to win at 1.66.
