ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION FOR WEST HAM - LIVERPOOL
West Ham are the only team that has not lost to Liverpool this season in the league. The reason is that the hammers haven’t played with the Reds yet. They were due to face the European champion back in December, but that did not happen because of Liverpool’s commitment to the club World Club Championship. Ever since Moyes came, there has been an immediate improvement in West Ham’s game. Certainly next season will be the one in which West Ham will look for improvement, but in the last 4 games the hammers have 3 losses and 1 draw.
Interesting events have occurred in Liverpool recently. The Reds beat Wolves 2-1 in the championship, taking their next step to the title, but on Sunday made a ridiculous draw with Shrewsbury as a guest after leading 2-0. After the match, Klopp was not happy, but said that in the rematch, not only would he not let any players from the first team, but he would not lead the team himself. We will see the line-up and the coach of the Aston Villa match for the League Cup back in December.
Expert view : As for this match, West Ham certainly have nothing to lose. We must not forget something very important – the hammers are fighting to survive and are currently out of the relegation zone just because of their goal difference. We are convinced that West Ham will do their best to get something out of Liverpool. The visitors will score for sure, but we are ready to bet on a goal for West Ham simply because they have quite strong strikers, and Liverpool have made some mistakes in defense lately. Prediction – BTTS at 1.90.
West Ham have not scored in just one home league game so far against Man City in the first round
Liverpool have conceded a goal in 9 of their last 10 away games at West Ham
